Cell values show providers per 100,000 residents (raw provider count ÷ 2024 county
population estimate × 100,000), so counties of different sizes can be compared directly. Hover a cell for
the underlying raw count. Counts reflect multi-taxonomy tagging: a provider registered with codes
spanning multiple categories (e.g. a psychiatrist who is also tagged as a Behavioral Health counselor) is counted in
each matching category cell. The TOTAL column shows the county's unique (de-duplicated)
provider rate per 100,000 residents; the small badge shows how many additional category tags those providers carry
beyond their primary type.
